The Facts

This is an EQ.TV project in which Aaron Straight wrote, directed, and produced a promotional video for Pura Vida Coffee, a socially conscious business who uses profits to to empower producers, motivate consumers, and ultimately serve the poor.

The Back Story

The video was able to generate three times more revenue in its first showing than any of Pura Vida's previous fundraisers. Pura Vida has continued to work with EQ.TV to create a second version of the video for marketing, with plans for three new video next year. Pura Vida also hired EQ.TV to design and manufacture eco-friendly DVDs to distribute to their customers, partners, and donors.

Production was completed with Ian Jay of TinCan Productions at the fabled Muse Ranch just north of Los Angeles. The fn group also provided all the Ethiopian images for the movie as well as additional images from Latin America.
